i found a little box today, guarded by a bear and filled with memories and tobacco cards.

it makes you think. you can lock all your secrets and tears and memories away in a box and guard it with the fiercest creature you find, but as soon as it is opened they will all gush out and they concentrate over time. and the little explorer who looks in things she shouldn't will be shadowed with the grief which belongs to you for as long as she can't fight it off.

it is sunday night, and this one means slow cooked meals, apple and rhubarb crumble, Agatha Christie and the Doctor.

  4. I would pour all my secrets and histories into a glass jar and hide it in a beehive. Such a beautiful post, so full of mysteries and wonder. I hope all the grief never comes tumbling out from your secret box, my deer. x

  8. Your words are drenched in such kindness and honey-coloured genuineness, it makes me happy to believe that lovely souls like you still wander out there.
